1 THE INTERFAITH LINK COUNCIL

(Paragraph 4.1 of the Constitution refers)

The role of the InterFaith Link Council is to represent the Link and to ensure that its activities are in line with its aims.


Each member should be appointed as their representative by the faith community. Should there be no obvious grouping, the rest of the Council can agree to accept individuals as representatives.

This will involve:

1.1 Review the planned activities, proposed by the Planning Group.

1.2 Interaction with other bodies at all levels.

1.3 Public representation of the group's activities.

1.4 Giving a review and evaluation of the activities of the Norwich InterFaith Link Forum at the annual meeting.

1.5 The group will meet at least twice a year.


2 PLANNING GROUP

The Planning Group is responsible for the programmed activities of the Norwich InterFaith Link

2.1 The Planning Group will receive suggestions of activities from any member of the Norwich InterFaith Link.

2.2 The Planning Group will work to develop a programme of planned activity in line with the aims of the Norwich InterFaith Link

2.3 The programme must be submitted and approved by the Norwich InterFaith Link Council

2.4 Additional activity of a reactive nature may become necessary. If any member wishes to speak on behalf of the Norwich InterFaith Link, then this must be done with the approval of at least two officers of the InterFaith Link Council.

3 THE INTERFAITH MEMBERSHIP

The InterFaith Link Membership exists to build good relations with people of different faiths and beliefs.

The Norwich InterFaith Link Membership will achieve their aims by:

3.1 Holding regular discussions of topical issues with a faith or belief perspective.
3.2 Hold regular social events.
3.3 Hosting events where exchange can take place in a safe environment where members will able to express their views freely.
3.4 Will ensure that all times, all activities and exchanges take place in full accordance within the rules laid out in the Code of Practice.
