Hinduism is the most ancient religion in the world. It is a way of life, integrating the religious, spiritual, cultural, moral and ethical aspects of life. Hindu religion is also known as Sanatan (eternal) Dharma (laws of nature). Sanatan Dharma is based on the teachings of Veda, the holy book.

The essence of Hindu religion is that God exists in all creations of life; they believe that the Supreme God controls the entire universe through three major qualities represented by the trinity:

• Brahma- the creator
• Vishnu - the preserver
• Shiva - the destroyer

The fundamental concept of Hinduism is that God is one but has many attributes. The different gods and goddesses are mere representations of the powers and functions of the one Supreme God. Hindus believe that God can be worshipped in divers forms or in his formless state. Hindus believe that life does not end with death. The soul is immortal and eternal.
